At the recent Nielsen conference Asia was named the fastest growing sports market in the world, according experts Nielsen Sports the global leader in sports intelligence, and One Championship Asia’s largest global sports media property.

The potential and size of the Asian sport market has been the major attraction for sport properties looking to expand and develop their fan base beyond traditional markets. The growth is Asia can be clear for everyone to see with large sporting events now being hosted in across Asia. This comes after Japan were chosen to host the 2019 Rugby World Cup hosted in Tokyo, Japan. With a little under 500 days to go until the start of the 2019 The Rugby World Cup Japan will be the first nation outside of rugby’s traditional heartland to host the event, with tournament director Alan Gilpin saying Tokyo ‘is right on track to stage a great event’.

This isn’t the upcoming sporting event in Asia with the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games also being held in Japan. The fact these huge sporting events will be happening in consecutive years in Asia gives many businesses the opportunity to capitalise on the influx of tourists, media and athletes for both these events.

We’ve cast across Asia!

Here at Chris Snode Casting we’ve had the pleasure of casting across Asia in countries such as Manilla, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Beijing. When casting for Turkish Airlines we saw over 50 people from Hong Kong and Manilla looking for female Chinese golfers. Watch the Ad Below

Being a casting company specialising in sport, we’ve also cast for other projects in Asia such as our work for Caterpillar. We cast across Tokyo looking for 450-pound sumo wrestlers, and our work in Asia doesn’t stop there. Chris Snode Casting also searched in Beijing looking for free runners for Zenga’s project. All our work can be found on our website here.
